Par 5 | When Tom Fazio designed Bayville's par 5 18th, he wanted to capture and preserve the heritage of the property by routing the hole around the dairy barns that were everywhere in the days of Bayville Farms. He did just that, and a good tee will avoid the barns (and OB) on the right as well as a grove of strategically placed trees. Decision time with the second shot. The smart play is to lay up to a good yardage between the waste area along the left side and bunkers on the right. The bold play is to go for the green and risk hitting a shot into a bunker 30 yards short of the green or a more wayward shot into a marsh hazard left and right. There is a good chance of making a birdie at the 18th leaving a player with a good feeling to conclude a round of golf at Bayville.
